Ascend Agency
Insurance Disclosures
Effective September 2, 2026
Insurance comes with details that matter. These disclosures explain who Ascend is, how our professionals work, and what you should understand before making a decision.
Who we are
Ascend Agency LLC works with independent financial professionals. We are not an insurance carrier. Across our network, participating professionals represent 20 or more carriers. The carriers and products available to you depend on the professional’s licenses and appointments, your state, the product, and your circumstances.
Licensing
Across our network, participating insurance professionals collectively hold licenses in all 50 states. Ascend Agency LLC does not claim to hold an agency license in every state. Availability depends on the specific professional’s license, carrier appointments, state, and product. Any insurance discussion, recommendation, or application will be handled by a professional who holds the required license for your state and the product involved. Ask the professional who contacts you for their name, license information, carrier appointments, and the states in which they are licensed.
Veteran-led, not government-run
Our leadership includes military veterans. Ascend Agency is not part of, endorsed by, or acting for the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, any military branch, or any other government agency. We do not determine or administer VA benefits.
How insurance professionals are paid
An insurance professional may be paid a commission or other compensation by the carrier when a policy is issued. Compensation can vary by carrier and product. You may ask the professional working with you how they are paid and which carriers they represent.
Carrier ratings
When we use the phrase “Multiple A-rated financial companies,” we mean insurance carriers represented through our network that have received an A-category financial-strength rating from at least one independent rating organization. Rating organizations use different scales, ratings apply to the carrier rather than a policy, and ratings can change. Ask the professional who contacts you for the current rating, rating organization, and rating date for any carrier being discussed. A rating is not a promise about future policy value, investment performance, or whether a particular claim will be paid.
Approval and policy terms
The carrier—not Ascend—decides eligibility, price, and final approval through underwriting. The issued policy controls the benefits, exclusions, limits, charges, values, and other terms. If a summary or conversation differs from the policy, the policy controls.
Insurance used in retirement planning
Some insurance products can be part of a retirement plan. They are not bank deposits and are not FDIC-insured. Guarantees depend on the issuing carrier and the exact contract. No product can promise that every retirement goal will be met.
Before replacing existing coverage
Replacing a policy can restart surrender periods or contestability periods, change guarantees, create new underwriting requirements, or cause other costs and consequences. Do not cancel existing coverage until new coverage is approved, active, reviewed, and appropriate for your situation.
Tax and legal questions
We do not provide tax or legal advice through this website. When either issue matters to your decision, talk with a qualified tax professional or attorney.
